Ms. Struck has defended individual and corporate clients in a wide range of matters, including
products liability, medical malpractice, employment, breach of contract, construction defect,
personal injury, landlord-tenant, and land movement cases.  Her practice has included defense
of public entities and employees in cases alleging torts, inverse condemnation, violation of
constitutional and civil rights, and inverse condemnation.  Representative clients include
Allstate Insurance, Ford Motor Company, Alameda County, Marin County, City of Oakland,
Highland Hospital, and the San Francisco Housing Authority.

Ms. Struck’s motion practice includes successful demurrers, anti-SLAPP motions, motions for
summary judgment, writs and appeals.

While in law school, Ms. Struck earned honors for her Moot Court oral presentation and brief,
and later served on the Moot Court Board as an instructor.  Ms. Struck also served as an
extern to Superior Court Judge Stuart Pollak, who is now a justice with the Court of Appeal.

Before joining Haapala, Thompson & Abern, LLP, in 1998, Ms. Struck worked for the San
Francisco firm of Alexander, Millner & McGee, which later became Arnelle, Hastie, McGee,
Willis & Greene.
