After 40 years in civil litigation, John Haapala is now focusing his efforts on mediation and
arbitration. John has been a longtime panelist in the Alameda and Contra Costa court
sponsored mediation, arbitration, and settlement programs. He earned certifications in basic
and advanced mediation training taught by Steve Rosenberg, and has mediated and
arbitrated hundreds of cases.
John's alternative dispute resolution experience includes a wide variety of matters, including
motor vehicle accidents and other personal injury cases, product liability claims, construction
defect cases, suits involving governmental entities, landlord-tenant disputes, real estate
nondisclosure, and uninsured motorist claims.
